Original Civil War Era South Carolina Kepi Insignia! Has a really nice overall aged patina with nice "SC" South Carolina Letters. The wreath looks very similar to most period hat insignia I see as well as the back. I've shown to several dealers including Brian Akins of Rebel Relics who believe it to be a Civil War period piece. But because of some varying opinions will list as a Civil War Era example to be safe. Either way would look amazing back on a kepi/hat or makes a great addition to any Civil War Collection!
