P.S. JUSTICE M1840 OLD WRISTBREAKER CAVALRY SWORD AND SCABBARD PHILADEPHIA, PA
Original Civil War P.S. Justice M1840 "Old Wristbreaker" Cavalry Sword and Scabbard in really good untouched condition. The parts for these swords and Scabbards are believed to have been manufactured by Schnitzer & Kirschbaum of Germany (Prussia) and assembled and marketed by arms dealer Phillip S. Justice of Philadelphia, PA. This example is in excellent condition with most of it's original leather wrap and wire intact. Blade is full length with a nice tip. Has the P.S. Justice Philadelphia maker mark on one side of the blade and some initials that I'm not familiar with on the reverse. The scabbard has a pleasing patina and has it original throat and both mounting rings. Has the maker stamp S & K o the drag as well as some inspectors initials. A very nice representative sword of one of the main type weapons used by Civil War Cavalry and was personal favorite of General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his Cavalryman. Please see all photos and call or write for more info.
