Original Civil War Confederate Nashville Plow Works Cavalry Officer's Sword and Scabbard in untouched beautiful condition. This sword definitely deserves to be in a Museum and will be a great addition to any collection. The handle has an amazing Confederate Brass Patina with really nice "CSA" letters and Nashville Plow Works Maker Mark. The original wrap has worn down to the wood from service with only partial wire intact. The guard is slightly bent out of shape. I personally love the swords in this condition. Most likely the way the Soldier that carried it last touched it. (The guard can be straightened and grip replaced if so desired for an extra charge). The blade is full length and in really nice condition but does have a worn down point. It also has a few flea bite nicks from action more felt than seen. The Scabbard is just incredible with awesome brass patina hardware and original black lacquer finish. The brass throat, mounts and drag are all intact. Please see all photos and call or write for more information and payment options.
