Original Civil War Metropolitan Arms Co. (New York) .36 cal Navy Revolver in beautiful displaying condition. This is one of Colt's competitors that began after the fire at Colt's factory in 1864. They basically produced exact copies of the Colt Navy Revolver. Has all matching serial numbers of 6584. The brass trigger guard and backstrap have a beautiful matching patina. The walnut grips are in great shape with one toe of the left grip MIA. Has a really nice New York barrel address. The mechanics are fully functional with nice action. Has a brass long range site as well as a brass front pinch site. The bore is dirty but does have rifling remaining. The original loading lever moves freely and secures tight. A great example that will stand strong in any collection. Please see all photos.
