Original rare Civil War Merrill 1st Model .54 cal Cavalry Carbine SN# 8475. The mechanics are fully functional with nice action. The wood stock is good shape with honest wear from service. The brass hardware have a beautiful matching aged patina. Barrel is full length with original sight and nice bore. It does has an old replaced brass hammer screw (Patina).
