Original Civil War Mansfield & Lamb M1860 Cavalry Sword and Scabbard. A nice inexpensive example of a Civil War Cavalry Sword with lots of wear from Service. The blade is full length with a nice point. Has no nicks and has not been sharpened. Most of the U.S. and date stamp have worn away with just a a partial Mansfield & Lamb Maker Mark remaining. The handle is tight to the blade and has a deep aged brass patina. The matching pommel has an inspector stamp. The leather wrap is intact but all of the wire is MIA. The scabbard is complete with throat and both mounting rings. The drag has some custom initials and a rack number. A great displaying sword at a great price. Please see all photos for condition.
