This is a really cool example of the M1859 McClellan Saddle that I got on consignment from the Joe Fitzgerald Collection. It came with oral history and a small handwritten tag of belonging to Capt. Templeton. The saddle shows obvious wear from service but has an overall nice displaying patina. Most of the rawhide covering is complete with places where it has separated and/or MIA. Has most of its original hardware intact although there is not a saddle shield with the size. Has both leather skirts that are flexible with one small piece missing from the left side. Has a replaced stirrup ring on the left side as well. Comes with the display stand and adds a cool look to any Civil War Collection. A great research project. Please see all photos. Call or write for payment options.
I can no longer accept credit cards and I'm suspended from shopify payments /paypal for selling Civil War guns. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but all payments must be a check or cash. Iwill accept any terms that work for you on layaway. Thanks JJ
