M1858 FEDERAL CAVALRY HARDEE HAT FORT RILEY MUSEUM KANSAS
Original Civil War M1858 Federal Hardee Hat with Cavalry Insignia. In great condition for an example that was actually used in service. Was on display at the Ft. Riley Museum in Kansas for many years. The felt is in great shape with just minimal damage to the top rim. Has The company G letter and number 2 as well as the Cavalry Cross Sabers Insignia. All have a matching beautiful patina. It has a faded red artillery hat cord. I assume this was for an Artillery Soldier with the Cavalry. Has the beautiful original plume feather that displays amazing. On the inside it has the original sweat band intact. Also has the US Army label as well as a tag from the Ft. Riley Museum. An awesome example that will display strong in any museum or collection. Please see all photos and call or write for more information.
