Original Civil War Confederate Cavalry Sword and Scabbard in untouched attic condition. I originally thought this was a Kenansville sword but now pretty certain its a Boyle & Gamble product which also used the Kenansville CS Lap Seam Scabbards. The original wrap and wire are mostly intact with worn spots down to the wood from service. The Confederate Brass Guard and Pommel have a beautiful matching patina with classic examples of casting flaws and file marks. The blade is full length with only a couple small nicks more felt than seen. The scabbard is complete with original brass throat, drag and both mounting rings. Has a good bit of original black lacquer paint with nice brass sword mounts. Has a couple small cracks as shown in pics. A great example that will make a great addition to any Civil War Museum or Advanced Military Collection. Please see all photos and call or write for payment information.
