IMPORT M1840 OLD WRISTBREAKER CAVALRY SABER AND SCABBARD II
Nice displaying example of the workhorse of the Confederate Cavalry and the favorite weapon of Nathan Bedford Forrest and his men. An original Import M1840 "Old Wristbreaker" Cavalry Saber and scabbard with a beautiful overall patina. The handle is tight to the sword and still has its leather wrap and wire intact. The pommel and guard have an attic thick patina. The unmarked blade is full length with a few nicks from service. The scabbard is in good shape also with a nice even patina. Has both of its mounting rings and drag. Heavy wear to the top ring shows extensive time in the saddle. The throat is MIA. Please see all photos of this Cavalry Veteran.
