Original Harpers Ferry M1816 .69 cal Musket with 1841 Production Date Converted from Flintlock to Percussion for Civil War Use. This example has a beautiful overall displaying patina. The walnut stock is in great shape with usual dings from service. The mechanics are fully functional with very tight crisp action. Has the US / Eagle in front of the hammer and the Harpers Ferry 1841 stamp on the rear. The Tang is also marked with the 1841 date. All barrel bands are intact with both sling swivels. (The rear is frozen in place) Has an original ramrod with matching patina. A great example of what Federal and Confederate Troops fought with and displays strong in any collection.
