Very rare Original Pre Civil War Hall M1843 Breech Loading Carbine with 1848 production date. This example is from a large weapons and excavated collection from the Grand Ecore battle area in Louisiana. Has a really nice dark attic patina. Shows heavy usage and most likely used the entire war and quite possibly by a Confederate Soldier. The mechanics are fully functional. The hammer clicks in both positions but action is a little weak. Has the maker mark and production date in front of the hammer. Stock is complete but has several cracks and repairs as shown in pics. An overall nice example that will display amazing.
