FEDERAL EAGLE BREASTPLATE FROM FORREST CAMP IN GRAVELY SPRINGS, AL
Original Civil War Federal Eagle Breastplate that was recovered by Roger Ballard in a Forrest Camp in Gravely Springs, AL. Recently sold in a large collection at the Poulin Auction in Fairfield, ME. This is a beautiful example in great condition with both loops intact. Still has ground action on the face. The back lead is near perfect. Possibly on a Union Supply Wagon and was discarded. Will display strong in any dug collection with great history. Shown with other buckles from the collection and sold separately in pic 9. Please see all photos.
