Original Civil War Emerson & Silver M1860 Cavalry Sword and Scabbard in really nice condition with desirable 1863 production date. The original wrap and wire are intact and in museum quality condition. The undisturbed pommel and guard have a beautiful matching brass patina. Has the the inspector DFM stamp for Dexter F. Mossman. The blade is full length with a nice point, no nicks and has never been sharpened. Has a great example of the Emerson & Silver Maker Mark on one side of the blade and U.S. / Inspector Initials / 1863 date on the reverse. The scabbard is complete with throat and both mounting rings. Has a beautiful dark displaying patina. Does have a slight curve to the scabbard. A great sword that will make a great addition to any Museum or Civil War Collection. Please see all photos.
