DJ MILLARD M1860 CAVALRY SWORD AND SCABBARD (1862)

Original Civil War DJ Millard M1860 Light Cavalry Sword and Scabbard in Museum Quality condition. Rarest of all sword contracts there were only 10,000 produced all marked with the 1862 production date. Has the original leather and wire intact with one split on the left side of the grip. The brass handle and undisturbed pommel have a beautiful matching brass patina. The blade is full length with a perfect tip. Has a couple flea bite nicks only felt but not seen and hasn't been sharpened. Nice Maker Mark on one side and and U.S / Inspector Initials / 1862 on the reverse. The scabbard is in perfect condition and has a really nice dark displaying patina. Complete with both mounting rings and throat. Top notch example! Please see all photos for condition.
