Original Civil War Confederate Wood Drum Canteen that belonged to Private A. H. Hilson of the 33rd Alabama Infantry. Has a beautiful overall patina with all original bands and sling retention bars. This example was from the collection of Jules Silverman of Brielle, NJ and was originally displayed in a museum with an an old ID tag. The tag was labeled wrong and has been removed. Looks much better without it in my opinion. A.H. Wilson enlisted as a private in Company "D" 33rd Alabama Infantry. Has his name carved on both sides of the canteen as well as "CSA" in two places. Comes with a COA letter from Brendan Synnamon of the Union Drummer Boy and Service records and battle history. A great addition to any Civil War Museum or Collection. Please see all photos and call or write for more information.
