CONFEDERATE STATES ARMORY KENANSVILLE TYPE II CAVALRY SWORD AND SCABBARD
Original Civil War Kenansville Type II Cavalry Sword and Scabbard in Museum Quality Condition. Although known as the Confederate States Armory it was actually a product of Louis Froelich of Kenansville, NC. This example has a really nice guard and undisturbed pommel with textbook examples of CS casting flaws and file marks. Has beautiful matching patina Confederate Brass. The handle is tight to the blade and has the original wrap. Wire has been professionally restored. Has the Roman Numerals "XXXIII" stamped on the ricasso. The blade is full length with a nice point and single blood fuller. The Matching scabbard is equally as beautiful with the brass throat and both mounting rings intact. Fits the sword perfect. A great example of a Confederate Cavalry Sword that will make a great addition to any Civil War Display! Please see all photos for condition and call or write for more information.
