Original Civil War Colt M1862 Pocket Navy Revolver SN#7361 with very desirable 1861 Production date. These guns were numbered consecutively with the M1862 Police Revolvers. This example has a really nice overall dark patina. The walnut grips are in great shape with just a few dings from service. Has all matching serial numbers except for the unmarked loading lever which matches the gun perfect. The barrel is 4 1/2" and has the New York Barrel Address with original bead sight. Nice rifling remains. There is an old crack / fault in the end of the barrel as shown in pics. The mechanics are not functional. The hammer clicks in the back position but the cylinder does not turn. The Loading lever moves freely and secures tight. The gun does have a trigger guard screw and wedge screw MIA. The wedge is an original numbered (7361) example but has gotten too small to hold the gun tight from the correct side. Falls out easily. Works better from the opposite side and stays in the gun. This however makes the gun just a little loose. Mentioned for accuracy. A great displaying example for the money though. These guns are normally 2,000-3,000+.
