Original Civil War Colt M1860 .44 cal Army Revolver with very desirable early 1862 production date. Got this gun in on consignment from an old collection. Very tired war veteran that shows its service but remains mostly complete. Has a really cool period cross in the right walnut grips. The mechanics are functional with weak action. Has the Colt Patent stamp on the left side of the frame and a partial New York barrel address. Has a worn down brass blade front sight and pitted rifling in the barrel remaining. All matching serial numbers (48922) except for the replaced wedge and cylinder which is unmarked. Obvious that this is the cylinder that has been with this gun since the period. Not a mint gun for sure but an awesome relic with cool history. And a personalized mark on the grips from a soldier. Please see all photos and call or write for more information.
