Original Civil War Colt M1860 .44 cal Army Revolver with a very desirable early 1862 production date. Has all matching serial numbers including the wedge of 31522. The gun has an overall dark pleasing displaying patina with nice brass hardware. Has the Colt Patent stamp on the left side of the frame as well as a New York Barrel Address. Has several military inspector letters as well as a faint military cartouche. The Walnut grips are in good shape with one small section MIA from the right toe of the grip. This is the 4 screw version of the M1860 which was made to fit the Colt Shoulder Stock. The loading lever moves freely and secures tight. The mechanics are in great working order with nice tight action. The original brass front sight is intact and has nice rifling in the bore. A great example of an early Civil War Weapon that was sure to have seen many battles. Please call or write for more information or payment options.
