Original Civil War Colt M1851 .36 cal Navy Revolver in Museum Quality condition and very desirable early war serial number (1862). The mechanics are in excellent working condition with tight perfect action. Lots of original case color on the frame and misc parts. Has the Colt Patent on the left side of the frame and a really nice New York Barrel Address. Has the original brass bead sight intact. The bore is also in great condition with rifling remaining. The loading lever moves freely and secures tight. The walnut grips are in great shape with normal wear from service and a few kill marks on the bottom of the right grip. Has all matching serial numbers except for the unmarked wedge. Has a number 2 under the serial number which I believe means it was sold in a pair of guns. Does have some cylinder scene loss from usage but has a perfect maker and serial number. A great top of the line example that will make a great addition to any Civil War Collection and will go great with your Confederate Cavalry Display or Northern Officer Display. Please see all photos.
