COLT M1851 HARTFORD NAVY REVOLVER SN# 87210 (1858) WITH CONFEDERATE LEATHER HOLSTER
Original Civil War Colt M1851 Hartford .36 cal Navy Revolver with very desirable Pre Civil War Production date. Has all matching numbers including the wedge of 87210 which is an 1858 Production. Comes complete with the type Holster that you see with Confederate Produced Revolvers and strongly associated with Confederate Weapons. The gun is in Museum Quality condition with a beautiful patina and spots of original finish. The walnut grips are in great shape and fit the gun perfect. The brass backstrap has a beautiful aged patine. The mechanics are flawless with really tight action. The cylinder has a perfect Colt Maker Mark and Serial Number with beautiful Navy Scene. Has the Hartford Colt Barrel Address and nice rifling remaining. The Holster is in good condition with tight stitching. I have included in the last photo, another example of a Colt Navy close in serial number range that has a very similar Holster. It belonged to a Confederate Soldier and brought home as a war trophy by a Federal Soldier. Please see all photos.
(Write up from gun in last photo that is also an 1858 production with similar leather holster)
