Original Civil War ID'd Cavalry Grouping of John Uhlmann of the 5th U.S. Cavalry. This grouping comes from a very nice collection in Alabama that I will share with the buyer. The Colt M1851 Navy is martially marked and has the SN#70784 which is an 1857 production. Has all matching numbers except for the loading lever. Walnut grips are in great shape with normal wear from service. Nice patina on all of its brass hardware. Has the New York Barrel Address and the Colt Patent with "U.S." on the left side of the frame. Mechanically sound with good working action. The sword is a Mansfield & Lamb M1860 with it's original scabbard and leather sword know. Very nice full length blade with very minimal nicks if any at all. Great maker mark on one side of the blade with the U.S. , Inspector initials and 1865 date on the reverse. the original Brass Bugle shows some wear from service but has a beautiful aged patina that displays amazing. Also comes with 4 GAR Reunion badges & Ribbon. All of the ID is oral history but comes from a trusted source. I'm not adding a bonus for the ID but do want to keep it with the relics. Please call or write for more information or if I can assist you in any way.
