Original Civil War M1860 Cavalry Sword and Scabbard with Maker Marked Leather Sword Knot. Has very desirable pre war 1860 production date and a beautiful overall displaying patina. The original wire and leather wrap is mostly intact with spots worn down to the wood from service. The original brass undisturbed pommel and guard have a matching aged patina. The blade is full length with a really nice point. Has several small flea bite nicks mostly toward the end of the blade but has not been sharpened. Nice Ames scroll Maker Mark on one side of the blade and U.S. /1860/ J.T. on the reverse. Scabbard is complete with throat and both mounting rings. Has a nice overall dark patina and a few small small dents as shown in pics. Also comes with an original Pittman Maker Marked Leather Sword Knot that really adds to the display. A 1st class relic that will make a great addition to any Civil War Museum or Collection. Please see all photos.
