Original Civil War Ames M1860 Cavalry Sword in great displaying condition at a great price! Has the original leather grip intact that is worn down to the wood in spots from service. Also has the original wire that looks great. The Pommel and guard have a beautiful matching brass patina. Has inspector initials on the undisturbed pommel. The blade is full length with a nice tip. Does have some damage as shown in the pics. Has a really nice Ames Maker mark on one side of the blade and US / Inspector Initials / 1864 on the reverse. A great addition to any Civil War Collection and perfect for collectors on a budget. A great workhorse example of a Civil War Classic! Should be easy to match with a M1860 Scabbard.
