Original Pre Civil War Martially Marked Colt M1851 Navy Revolver with 1857 production. Has all matching serial numbers of 66797 except for the brass backstrap which matches perfectly with the same patina and has been with the gun a long time. Has the Colt Patent and U.S. on the left side of the frame as well as an inspector M stamp. New York Barrel Address and has the brass sight intact. Walnut grips are good shape for their age with honest wear from service. The mechanics are not currently functional but I'm sure an easy fix or displays great as is.
