Original Civil War Tower Enfield P53 Musket with very desirable early war 1861 production Date in attic fresh condition. Has a full length .577 caliber barrel with the front pinch sight as well as the long range rear sight. Has a dirty barrel with no visible rifling. The lockplate is marked on the rear with British Crown and has the Tower 1861 in the center of the lock. Has working mechanics with tired action and the hammer is just a bit loose. The stock shows heavy wear from service but it is overall in good condition with no serious breaks. Has significant wear around the buttplate on one side. Really nice brass patina on the trigger guard. An affordable early war Civil War Rifle that will make a great addition to any Civil War Collection. Please see all photos.
