Original U.S. Springfield M1816 .69 Cal Musket converted to percussion for the Civil War. Has a really nice overall patina and 1833 production date. The mechanics are fully functional with tight crisp action. Lock is stamped with Eagle over U.S. in front of the hammer and Springfield 1833 on the rear. Barrel has the V & P Proofs as well as 1833 on the tang. Stock is in good shape with normal wear from service and age. Has two really nice military inspectors cartouche on the back side of the Lock. Barrel is full length with original ramrod. Really nice overall example of what the Union started the war with and the South used throughout the conflict. Please see all photos for condition.
