Original Civil War Mansfield & Lamb M1860 Cavalry Sword with Leather Sword Knot and Discharge of Private Edward Martin Ohio National Guard. Great grouping of items that was originally purchased by Brian Akins of Rebel Relics. The sword is untouched with a beautiful dark patina. The handle has been worn down to the wood from service. Pommel and guard have a really deep matching patina. The guards top bow is bent from action. The blade is in great condition with very minimal nicks more felt than seen and a perfect point. Scabbard fits the sword great and is complete with the drag and both mounting rings. The drag shows significant wear from riding in the saddle. Also comes with the original leather sword knot (It is broken but will display just fine with the sword) and Framed Discharge papers. A great grouping of personal items at a great price.
