Original Civil War Excavated Confederate Leech & Rigdon Cavalry Spur with a gorgeous dark patina. Has beautiful examples of casting flaws. Its original rowel is intact and moves freely. Both strap plates are in great condition. Museum Quality Confederate Cavalry Relic! Please see all photos!

In early 1862 Leech & Rigdon moved from Memphis, TN to Columbus, MS. They remained there until December of that year when they relocated to Selma, AL. They would eventually end up in Augusta, GA where they remained until the end of the war.    (Reference)  Bill Beard
