Original Civil War Confederate Sinclair, Hamilton & Co. marked P1853 2 Band Enfield Percussion Rifle in untouched attic condition. Has a beautiful overall dark displaying patina. The mechanics are fully functional and the hammer clicks in both positions. The lockplate has pitting and the Tower / date are not visible but you can see the crown behind the hammer. The stock is in overall good shape with a section missing from the toe and heavy wear around the buttplate. Has a really nice Confederate Sinclair, Hamilton & Co. retailer stamp behind the trigger guard. The barrel is full length with the original long range leaf sight as well as the front pinch sight. Also complete with the bayonet lug. The bore is pitted and dirty with no rifling remaining. Has both sling swivels, barrel bands and ramrod intact. A great overall example of a Confederate Civil War Rifle. Please see all photos.
