Original Civil War Confederate Brass Spur (CS-18) Variant Cavalry Spur with original Leather Strap. The spur has a beautiful Confederate Brass Patina and original Rowel intact. Textbook example of casting flaws and file marks. Crouch Confederate spur book describes this spur as a likely product of Macon, Atlanta or Columbus Arsenal and possibly a late war attempt of a standardization of a spur model. It is slightly lighter than most Confederate Spurs and has a paddle shaped strap plate. Comes with and Original Vintage Leather Strap. At first glance I thought it had a metal stamp but its actually a twisted piece of old wire holding the buckle tight in strap. An overall awesome example that will add to any Confederate Cavalry Display. Please see all photos for condition. Shipping is included.
