Original Pre Civil War Colt M1849 .31 cal Pocket Percussion Revolver with all matching serial numbers and 1853 production date. Has a matching cleaned gray patina but starting to age back. Nice brass patina on the butt strap and round trigger guard with traces of original silver finish. The one piece walnut grip is slightly undersized but in good condition with normal wear from service. The cylinder has lots of scene remaining with a great Colt Patent stamp and 84429 serial number. Has a dark pitted bore. New York Barrel address on the 4" barrel with original brass bead sight. The loading lever moves freely and secures tight with a replaced screw. The mechanics are functional with working action but does have a weak main spring. The cylinder will only rotate level or pointing down. An affordable example that has all matching serial numbers.
