Original Civil War M1860 Cavalry Sword and Scabbard in attic fresh untouched condition. Has a beautiful overall dark patina that displays great. Has the original leather and wire wrap. Brass handle and undisturbed pommel have a deep aged matching patina. The blade is tight to the handle and full length with a nice point. Has the Ames Maker mark on one side of the blade and Inspectors initials/U.S./1864 on the reverse. There are a few flea bite size nicks as shown in the pics otherwise really nice blade that hasn't been sharpened. Scabbard is complete with the throat and both mounting rings.
